Are you struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, or other issues that are impacting your life or making you feel overwhelmed? Have you had a life altering experience? Are you struggling with your children, relationships, or work? Are your children experiencing stress, trauma, or are you concerned that they are suffering from a mental health disorder? You are not alone. These are all problems that we can work through together.

I specialize with clients that deal with anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, self-esteem, trauma, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and survivors of domestic violence. My background includes being a domestic violence advocate that worked directly with survivors of domestic violence. I work with children, adolescents and families by applying Triple-P Positive Parenting Program and focus on improving family communication. I modify my treatment in accordance to your needs.

I apply holistic approaches to therapy that includes hypnotherapy and meditation. Meditation is known to actually change the way the brain works. The brain is susceptible to positive emotions. I focus on the emotional well-being by exploring several connected systems (psychological, social, behavioral, lifestyle, spiritual, etc.). As well guide client’s to identify repressed emotions that lead to depression and anxiety. Emotions are a practical guidance system that helps an individual learn and grow. I take on a strength based approach as an EMDR trained therapist and a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist that focuses on assisting clients in acquiring the skills needed for adaptive functioning by eliminating emotional distress, and development of cognitive insights.

I am enthusiastic and passionate about my work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I obtained my masters for Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2012, and have over 8 years of experience working in the mental health field. I am also bilingual and have extensive experience working with the Latino community.

I look forward to working with you and guiding you to learn new tools to help you thrive in your daily life.
