Maricela Madrigal

I am a bilingual Spanish speaking therapist that is dedicated to creating a warm and safe space that is free of judgement to facilitate the therapeutic process. I believe in the therapeutic process, and I believe it is a collaborative process aimed at insight and growth. I specialize in assisting adult individuals who are currently struggling with depression, grief & loss, anxiety, trauma and abuse, negative thinking patterns, life transitions and stress management, or need some form of support and guidance.

My approach to psychotherapy is primarily focused on the strength based perspective, also utilizing solution focused approaches, and incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy elements. These approaches will be geared towards helping each individual process situations and emotions that are preventing living a fulfilled life.

I am a licensed clinical social worker, and earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles. My training and experience derives from serving individuals with chronic mental illnesses in inpatient & outpatient settings with departments such as Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, California Department of Public Health and California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
