Julianna Taillon

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) I believe every person has the inherent right to live their very best life on their own terms. This means that I work from a client focused, strength-based approach where you as the client will be in the drivers’ seat and myself as a supportive passenger focusing on your strengths and goals. I provide a safe nonjudgmental and empathetic therapeutic environment where we can explore and challenge difficult thoughts, feelings and life stressors while engaging in self-discovery.

I received my Masters degree in Social Work in 2009 from the University of Southern California after working in the field for five years prior, giving me fourteen years experience in the helping profession. I have worked in community mental health, schools, group homes and for the psychiatric mobile response team. I currently hold a LCSW and credential in School Social Work. I have worked in Special Education and can attend Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and Section 504 meetings as needed. I am concurrently a Mental Health Specialist for a local school district with a focus in program development for 17,000 students and 2,000 school staff.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. My specialties include the treatment of depression, anxiety, psychosis, ADHD, parenting challenges, trauma and abuse, life transitions and stress management. I utilize evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Positive Parenting Programs (Triple P and Positive Parenting with a Plan), Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Let’s make a change together and get you closer to your best life yet!
