I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, body image issues, trauma, depression, and anxiety.

I view eating disordered behaviors as symptoms of a more significant underlying core issue. As such, I focus not only on reducing behaviors, but also on exploring underlying causes, which contribute to creating and maintaining these disorders. Eating disorders serve a purpose for the individuals who suffer with them. Therefore, it is important to give a voice to that purpose, find alternative ways to express feelings and needs, increase connections with yourself and others, and find effective ways to cope with stressors and everyday challenges in life.

My passion lies in helping others find inner peace and freedom by creating more meaningful and fulfilling lives. In addition to my specialization in the treatment of eating disorders,I have years of experience helping clients with mood disorders, stress management, major life transitions and relationship issues.

I obtained my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University. I have experience in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient hospitalization, residential, outpatient, and private practice. I have worked with individuals who suffer with chronic mental illness, the geriatric population, at-risk youth and their families, and with individuals struggling with eating and co-occurring disorders.

My treatment approach is eclectic to best meet the needs of my clients. Above all, I believe the most powerful healing comes from the therapeutic connection. I create a safe, compassionate, authentic and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experiences and pain; all while gaining insight, healing emotional wounds, and achieving growth and change.
