Are you struggling with feelings of frustration, sadness, anxiety, or stress in your personal or professional life? Do you find yourself or your children struggling with the same problems and feelings over and over again? Has your life become unmanageable due to patterns of addiction and eating disorders? Do you experience barriers to satisfaction in your family, marriage, or work life? If you have answered “yes” to any of these questions then you have come to the right place.
I specialize in working with people who struggle with eating disorders, addictions, relationship issues and personal growth. Additionally, those suffering from depression and anxiety tend to find new ways of experiencing their world with less distress and an increase in feelings of wholeness and engagement in life. My patients and I enjoy using creative and expressive means in understanding the human experience, such as with music, art, poetry, and Jungian Sandplay. I have worked with clients of all ages in both private practice and as Director of residential treatment programs in Southern California and have witnessed the transformation of many people’s suffering. As a former Naval Officer, I have extensive experience working with military members, veterans, and their families. Additionally, I conduct psychological testing which is offered to help in identifying challenges or concerns with aptitude and functioning for both children and adults. When clients work with me, they receive individualized treatment that pulls from their strengths.
I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and am currently the Vice President of OC iaedp, an active member of the American Psychological Association, Los Angeles County Psychological Association, Orange County Psychological Association, American Psychoanalytic Association, and the Academy for Eating Disorders.
