Resilience is within each individual. We encounter different waves and hurdles in life that might keep us from having the lifestyle we strive for. Every once in a while, we just need someone to work together to identify the source of those obstacles and explore what possibilities outside of the box to get through life. To find that resilience within us and regain the balance of life.
I was born in Hong Kong, China and moved to the States when I was 15. I have been a single mother and now happily engaged to my fiancé. Just like everyone, I have been through different transitions in life and got knocked down by a couple of curve balls that life has thrown at me. Through my own therapeutic journey, I was able to find my own resiliency and recognize what is important to me and made adjustment in my life accordingly.
I have earned my Master Degree in Social Work at University of Southern California and I have been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2014. In my early years of work, I have worked with domestic violence survivors and at risk youth. Throughout my clinical career, I have had the privilege to work with children of all ages, teenagers, young adult and adults in different settings, who come from different ethnic background. Issues range from family discord, mixed family challenges, to traumatic family history. As well as role transition, academic stress etc. I am also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
