Welcome to New Day and congratulations on your decision to enter into a process of greater self-understanding and actualization. I know that the decision to enter psychotherapy can be both exciting and intimidating. I strive to make the therapeutic environment as safe and nurturing as possible, so as to work through your challenges. My therapeutic approach comes from a strengths-based perspective, where your unique thoughts, feelings, and experiences are respected and honored. My role is to assist you in making positive changes that reflect your values and beliefs. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been in practice since 1993. I specialize in the treatment of adults, adolescents and families who have experienced trauma. In addition, I have extensive experience working with mood disorders, relationship issues, and family problems. My undergraduate degree is in Humanities from Holy Names University in Oakland, CA and my graduate degree is in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach.
