How can we support you?

Welcome to A New Day Psychotherapy! It is my honor and privilege to work as a

licensed clinical professional that can meet your needs for quality psychological care. It

takes a lot of courage to seek quality mental health care, and I invite you to take a deep

breath and allow me to support you in your journey to mental healing. I am a Licensed

Marriage & Family Therapist that has practiced psychotherapy to individuals, couples,

and families since 2005. I believe that every individual has the right to integrate their

mind, body and soul to make up an authentic being and maintain quality relationships

with others. I support every person from all walks of life to know that it is possible to

LIVE in life rather than just to survive.

Do you suffer from horrible self-worth? Negative body image? Past Sexual Traumas?

Eating Disorders and/or disordered eating patterns? It has been my pleasure to have

specialized in Eating Disorders for nearly a decade. I have worked as a Primary

Therapist, Program Director, and Clinical Director at PHP/IOP and Residential Eating

Disorder facilities throughout Southern and Northern CA. I am currently working towards

obtaining my CEDS (Certified Eating Disorder Specialist), through the International

Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and am a passionate supporter of both

IAEDP and NEDA. Together I can work with you to identify and reduce destructive

eating patterns that have stripped you from a sound quality of life. In conjunction with

eating disorders, I am a Certified Family Wellness Instructor, whom has provided quality

couple and family therapy that can enrich the family system for the better.

I practice from an Object-Relations/Psycho-Dynamic perspective, that also utilizes

Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems,

and Family Systems Therapy to help every individual learn to challenge self-sabotage

behaviors and embrace their destiny. I value a collaborative approach that works best to

suit your needs while also empowering you to make decisions that can initially feel too

daunting to address.

I obtained my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology & Social Behavior with a Minor in

Women’s Studies from the University of California at Irvine, and obtained my Masters of

Science Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. I am qualified to

also provide sound spiritual counseling to those seeking to incorporate their faith in their

treatment. Welcome aboard. The journey towards your destiny and authentic identity

await you in therapy.

Blessings,

Amber Allen LMFT
